Deep thought

I have an even better idea for Congress to save money: Really big co-pays and a very high deductible on their health insurance. The thinking behind good benefits was that it was supposed to keep them from being corrupted, but as we see, that’s just not working out.

So it’s time to slash their benefits. Cut, cut, cut!

  1. I must admit, I’ve always been confused by the terms ‘insurance’ and ‘benefit’ in terms of healthcare and, well, anything else for that matter. It’s always seemed to me to be like placing a wager. BINGO!

It goes against everything I believe. Healthcare is a basic right for all living creatures. Everyone should be doing their darndest to ensure—what is it?—life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Oh my! I’m about to get to preaching.

Doctors Without Borders. I like them. for example.

  2. Cut their pensions, too! And what about all those vacations — taking a WEEK off for President’s DAY! And the other perks — flying around the world on fact finding missions when they wouldn’t know a fact if it hit them in their faces.

The president is flying in his personal trainer from Chicago to D.C. every week — is that coming out of his personal pocket ? — If not, let him go to they Y.

  3. Stephanie—too late. The system will fall like Humpty Dumpty.

    Amen and Hallelluiah!
