Thank you, Susie, for posting this. Makes me wish I had that gadget you wrote about so I could watch this on an actual TV!
I’m still trying to figure out how to cut costs on cable where, as of now, I’m tethered with phone, broadband, and the minor cost of broadcast only TV. Cablevision won’t let me go to Triple Play for a year unless I already have satellite TV…. And broad band will jump from $29.95 to $44.95 this month, phone from $29.95 to $34.95. Ack.
If you’re within 25 miles of a city, you can probably use a digital antenna to pull in the broadcast channels. They’re pretty cheap now, $10-20 on ebay. And if you already have broadband, all you need is a Roku or a DVD player and Netflix.
But that said, I’m pretty sure most of these companies operate like Comcast. Cancel everything you can, call back the next day and ask what specials they’re running and add back the same stuff you just had – cheaper.
I’m hesitant to watch it. I already know enough about the Monsanto situation to be despondent. I’ll try though.
