This is fantastic — and, again, where are our highly paid, supposedly creme de la creme reporters and analysts on this?
I remember the shutdown very well — I had definitely forgotten the debt ceiling standoff. Did Clinton just manage it much better? Not make such a big deal about because he knew Rubin had some room to maneuver, and he did not announce that the Repubs could bring down the economy?
