  1. Jared Polis stands for many good principles. I’m glad to hear that he supports the idea of reforming the US tax code which currently allows companies like GE to avoid paying a dime in income taxes (why doesn’t President Obama replace GE’s CEO Jeff Immelt as the country’s so-called ‘jobs czar’ when he’s such a supporter of corpotate tax avoidance and shipping US jobs overseas?).

    However, Congressman Polis (who is my representative) also favors allowing the biggest corporate tax evaders to bring home billions of dollars as tax-free, repatriated income). He talks a good line but his actions speak louder than words as he is a co-sponsor of the Freedom to Invest Act of 2011 which is simply nothing more than (more) corporate welfare (all the promised job-creation never materialized when the 2005 corporate tax give-away was granted to firms harboring nearly $400b worth of untaxed income in overseas tax havens).
