Deep Thought

If the protests on Wall Street were organized by the “Tea Party”, not only would there be abundant, and largely positive, media coverage, but the police would be there to protect the protestors’ free speech rights.

Deeper thought: if these protests are meaningless and silly exercises, as the New York Times told us yesterday, why are the police beating up and arresting these people in an effort to stop them?

I am not a Bowie fan, but this seems to resonate: “…And these children that you spit on as they try to change their worlds, they are immune to your consultations, they’re quite aware of what they’re going through…”

More demonstrations today.

  1. The oligarchy supports those who support them, ie, the Tea Party. They do not support those who want to bring them down, ie, the folks demonstrating on Wall Street. The MSM is owned, and its content is controlled, by the oligarchy and therefore they will not report on ‘anything’ that represents opposition to their rule. It’s as simple as that.

  2. Interesting. When I posted the link and a paraphrase of your “deeper thought” at my place Word Press wouldn’t publish the post when I added “Occupy Wall Street” to “if these protests” [if these Occupy Wall Street protests]. However, by changing Occupy Wall Street to New York [if these New York protests], it posted just fine. I heard goggle and the yayhoo were censoring this news, but it’s the first (and first hand at that) I’d heard Word Press was doing so as well.

After seven years, I may be looking for somewhere else to host my place.
