Quote of the day

Harold Ford, asshole:

We Democrats– we Democrats can criticize Republicans for catering to the Tea Party and not be– not say to our Democratic party, “You gotta look beyond Occupy and be willing to do what’s in the best interests of the country.

Yes, because trying to destroy the federal government in the name of austerity is EXACTLY the same as standing up to the corporate influence in our political process. I mean, exactly!

  1. Not to be confused with sex workers everywhere. When you’re talking about Ford, you’re talking about the true definition of the word.

  2. Yes, that’s the difference between the parties, they both serve the same interests, but one listens to its voters and one disparages its voters. If everybody represented their base, why politics would be so contentious!

  3. #4-guest, which party listens to the voters? Surely you can’t be referring to the Democrats? Maybe your being fooled when you hear them say “I understand?” That usually means that they couldn’t care less about what you’re saying and are spoon feeding your brain and emotions a rhetorical form of crack to allow you to feel better. If they were actually listening to us it wouldn’t be nearly as bad out there as it is.
