Abramoff also said that he had the staffs of at least 100 Congresspeople in his hip pocket. He went on to say that some of those Congresspeople are now in jail, or have been, some were voted out of office and some are still serving in the House and Senate. Lots of Abramoffs illegal money was given to the militant right wing settlers movement in Israel. It was used to kill Palestinians, illegally buy up Palestinian real estate including inhabited homes, fund terrorist attacks by settlers on Palestinians like burning down their olive groves, and other violent activity. Abramoff doesn’t talk much about that and neither does anyone else.
Oh, I’m sure that number only represents those about whom he had first hand knowledge. What are the stats on Congressionals coming into congress without extreme wealth and being millionaires when they leave??
