This is all quite amusing. But it does beg the larger question concerning legislating morality. What is immoral and what is not? Clearly it would be immoral to kill another human being. Or to bear false witness. Or steal. Or covet your neighbor’s stuff. Or to destroy the enviornment for profit or fun. Where should one draw the bright red line concerning what is acceptable behavior and what is not though? That’s the question.
This is a case where rubbing salt in a wound is richly warranted. Koch fully deserves to be mocked, derided and despised for moral hypocrisy that reached Gingrinchian-like levels.
