  1. Every year the U.S. sends billions of dollars directly to the Egyptian military to prop it up. Egypt is currently run by a military dictatorship. The Egyptian people want the military dictatorship to end. But that’s not what the Israelis want. When the Egyptian people went to the polls a month or so back they voted into office the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood. At least 58% of them did. Another 25% voted for the Nour Party and the rest voted for secularists. Israel does not like nor does it trust the Muslim Brotherhood. So Israel is pressuring Obama to keep Egypt’s military dictatorship in place. This is just another example of how American Zionists (neo-cons) allow Israel to control U.S. foreign policy. That’s bad for both the American people and for the people of Egypt.

No, there isn’t any connection between Imhotep’s comment and the posting on sleep. It would be nice if he started a comment with OT (off topic) before launching to the comment.

On topic: I’m going through a period of sleeplessness right now that is related to the sound made by certain ventilation system motors. I complained at one point when I thought the motors were off balance and they were fixed. This new problem must be related to settings for the motors but they’ve never sounded so loud and noticeable before. It’s time now for the complaint to go not only to my buildings management but also several city agencies.

  4. Izquierdo, Woodsider—-lots of us are made sleepless thinking about this topic. For others it’s the noise of the city or a guilty conscience. To each their own.
