Chris just left with my motherboard and my power supply, taking them to that great electronics graveyard in the sky. (As Chris says sagely, “There’s usually a reason that they’re cheap.” The motherboard, I mean. He built the whole CPU for me.) I kept saying I heard a “pop” before it stopped working – turns out it blew a capacitator, and the sound was the cap piece hitting the inside.)
I’m sure gonna miss it. For some reason, this laptop drops the broadband connection all the time. (I have it plugged directly into the router.) I can’t tell whether it’s the intertubes being clogged, or the computer. Whatever, it’s a real pain.
Have you tried upgrading the drivers, especially for the network, on your laptop?
