The heat is so oppressive – even thought it “only” went up to 102, not the 105 that was predicted. And now a line of violent thunderstorms is about to pass through. So if you don’t hear from me for a while, assume a power outage.

This is a bad summer. I know what you mean about “only” … I was just now thinking, wow! It’s “down” to 103.5 — from 108.1 . This would be OK – good for a story (how hot was it?) if it was for a day or two but as of today, it’s two solid weeks of above 100 degrees. And it’s affecting my brain, I think. I’m just glad the power grid has been up to it so far.
