Unfortunately, I think Mr. Hedges is right on the money. Money being the operative term. American democracy was completely co-opted by the radical conservative activists of the Roberts’ court. There are no electoral processes remaining to correct the slide to corporate feudalism. Like global warming the fuse is lit and all we await is the tipping point when enough of the country slides into the sacrifice zone to ignite the ‘days of revolt.’
