  1. The first Israeli to self-immolate was Akiva Mafai 10 days ago in Yehud. He was reading a letter while burning to death which read in part that I’m doing this to protest Netanyahu “taking from the poor and giving to the rich.” On Sunday Moshe Silmon set himself on fire in Tel Aviv. On Monday 1 man set himself on fire in Netivet and another man self-immolated in Ofakim. That’s four human beings who have died in Israel in the last 10 days protesting Netanyahu’s austerity program by way of self-immolation. Something is very wrong with the soul of Israel.
