So US news outlets whitewash murder, torture, rape, and general brutality of regimes that it favors in order to keep totalitarian dictators in place? All in the name of democracy and freedom?
Hats off to GG and Amber Lyon for continuing to struggle against the joke that is US international news coverage. But there is no surprise here, rather SOP.
What has changed is that there are now NO national politicians who are willing to point this out. There will never be another Church commission. Habeas Corpus? Isn’t that the law that regulates mortuaries?
Even political figures who are relatively agressive on domestic policy like Elizabeth Warren support US hegemony, exceptionalism, and adventurism.
The drones keep on killing…. and the US media drone(s) on.
