  1. Well, it was much more lively. And Joe Biden sounded somewhat like a Democrat, but….

    He was absolutely unable to come out full square for keeping SocSec and Medicare as they are. He can’t because his president wants to cut/tweak/change SocSec and Medicare, make them less helpful and supportive for elders.

    He could go after Ryan/Romney for wanting to make Medicare a voucher program and how it would cost so much more out of pocket many seniors could not afford it. I know I couldn’t. But he could not say the age to enter Medicare would remain the same. He could not say SocSec would not have it’s cost of living “tweaked” so that seniors would end up with significantly less income after 10 years, when their older and much more vulnerable.

    Help! We need a party which gives a damn about the lower economic quintiles!!

    And we have two Corporatists running for the presidency, one with a tamed Democrat as VP and the other with a rabid Ayn Randian.

    We are so screwed.
