  1. OTOH, several indicators point to the prominent impact of the women’s vote and those who vote to preserve women’s rights. Those aspects favor the incumbent and block, on several fronts, the challenger. Sabian for Sun implies we vote for our future, to build on what we now have. Just my .02

  2. “Finally, Mercury conjoins Romney’s natal Descendant at 1° Sagittarius … This could signal a fundamental alteration in how the public (Moon) reacts to both men, with Romney forming a closer bond (Descendant).”

    Closer bond? Er, that’s one way of reading it. Another way is to say that Mrc Rx just about spot on opposes the challenger’s Ascendant (1GEM). As for the Mn, @ 2LEO, it is conjunct inc’s Natal Mrc and sextiles Natal Mn. Stay calm and GOTV.

  3. My fuzzy logic is telling me that Obama will win but Rmoney will steal it somehow, probably through a combination of ways.

    I hope the ascribed strength of the women’s issues voters will come to material fruition at the polls, but I have my doubts. The boomer women have grown more indifferent to these hot button issues as they drift into more conservative dowagerhood, having increasingly supported a right drifting society for a couple of decades now. They like their lattes and big houses and reproductive issues just aren’t their dogfight anymore. Aspirational voters will be the biggest threat to Obama, seeing as how about half of US workers earn $35K and less. They want to be rich some day, just like they see on the teevee.

  4. So we’re all agreed then that most of the people who have voted and who will vote tomorrow don’t have a clue? Take Bill Clinton for example. Few people remember that he came into office having gotten only 45% of the popular vote. Bush got 37% and Perot got 18% (that giant sucking sound). Six months later his poll numbers were in the toilet. So on June 26, 1993 Clinton bombed Bagdhad. His poll numbers shot up and he immediately began lining up votes to get NAFTA passed. It was and the union movement was wrecked. Some working class hero he is.

  5. Well, since in 2000 we got the worst candidate, no doubt this means we’ll get the worst one now.

    I’ll be curious to see when I wake up on Wednesday who the gods think that is.

  6. A very simplistic take on all this:
    Mercury retrograde screws up communications and the correct functioning of organizations and institutions.

    That can mean one of two things:
    The Rethugs succeed in hijacking the vote count,

    == OR ==

    The Rethugs’ efforts to hijack the vote count fall victim to Mercury retrograde.

    Yeah, I know, grasping at straws on the second one.
