Almost sounds orchestrated, doesn’t it? As in, ‘let’s make sure some powerful people get some sort of threat, too’, and not just innocent bystanders in the crowd at the Boston Marathon. The argument will soon be made ‘see, we’re all in this together; and that’s why we need to have these startlingly new powers we’re seeking in the Patriot Act’.
Or, perhaps someone is trying to obstruct the timing of the gun control vote.
It is all absolutely necessary. People just were not acting properly terrified after the bombing.
