  1. “There are but two parties…….founded in the radical question, whether ‘People’ or ‘Property’ shall govern? Democracy implies a government by the people……Aristocracy implies a government of the rich.” Thomas Hart Benton, speech, U.S. Senate, 1835.

  2. Also, Obama has nominated so few judges that he seems to be, oh, almost working with the Repubs on limiting the number of new judges. Then, he does very little that we can observe in trying to ensure their approval.

Oh, and Harry Reid and his sternly worded letter to Repubs that they must not misuse the filibuster. Riiiiight.

  3. Thanks Mr. Reid. That filibuster reform sure is working great. We really do need to give up the delusion that we live in a ‘two party system.’
