On Monday’s edition of “The Young Turks,” host Cenk Uygur sent a special message to former White House spokesperson Dana Perino, who last week said she is “tired” of atheists demanding that Christian ideology be separated from public policy. “They don’t have to live here,” she said.
Uygur and co-host Anna Kasparian took a moment to note that “The Five” co-host Bob Beckel agreed with Perino, much to Uygur’s disgust.
“He’s, like, the biggest meathead,” said Uygur. “He’s not remotely liberal. He’s a Fox News liberal, which is an idiot who’s supposed to bob his head and go, ‘Oh, yeah, you’re right. Everything you say is right. Oh, liberals suck, atheists suck. Yeah, they should all leave the country. Only Fox News should stay in the country.’”
He went on to address Perino’s statement that she’s “tired” of atheists.
“Well, Dana,” he said, “I’m tired of you. You guys are, like, constantly, ‘Believe in my sky God! Believe in him!’ Yeah, I don’t believe in him. So, why don’t you leave the country?”
He then went on to read the Establishment Clause from the First Amendment to the Constitution, which says, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.”
“You’re wrong, I’m right,” he said to Perino. “Get the f*ck out of the country.”
