Why are American health care costs so high?
Prices (not costs) are so high because everyone along the line in the supply chain thinks they deserve to be rich, and they add on enough profit to make themselves rich. And since they operate as a monopoly where the customer has to take it or leave it (and maybe die) they get their profit.
