These are all parlor tricks. The real issue here is the fact that for the first 5 years of his administration Obama caved into the Republicans every time and on every issue. He did so because he picked a bunch of right wing Clinton hacks to help him run his administartion and they advised him to cave in. Most of them are gone, thankfully, and are now screwing up cities like Chicago or trying to make matters worse by becoming the next president. So the backbone that Obama recently grew came as a complete surprise to the Republicans. It also destroyed their carefully constructed plan to use the Koch brothers carzy, right wing, shock troops as a vanguard for more and bigger destruction of the government in the future. This is all right out of the 20’s and 30’s European Fascist playbook.
