Time magazine’s current issue has nice cover art referencing the Republicans’ government shutdown and their threat of defaulting on the national debt, but the featured article by Michael Scherer and Alex Altman replicates the same false equivalency…
In budget fights, the Republicans have given no quarter to the Administration, which in turn has frequently been humiliated. I see no reason for Obama, as bad as his motives may be, to do anything other than negotiate his desired outcome and let the instigators get mangled in the maws of the meat grinder that was intended for the Administration.
