As we all know the Republicans and their Libertarian and T-bagger allies are liars. Here’s their latest whopper. According to these laissez faire Capitalists increasing taxes on the top 20% “will not reduce the deficit, it will only slow down the economic recovery.” Here are the facts. In the 8 months since the taxes on the top 2% were raised an additional $200 billion dollars has flowed into the treasury. Two million new jobs have been created. And the deficit has shrunk dramatically. Not exactly the results that the Republicans, the Libertarians, and the T-baggers had in mind or claim the future will bring. When will the American people stop buying into the lies that these corporatist flunkies keep feeding them?
