  1. Christie for Senate! Of course, if that is a campaign promise, what are the odds of him keeping it?

I suppose he is also more evolved than his bretheren in the Party since he seems to accept partial responsibility (and he is somewhat aware that he his life and everything he stands for is worthless).

  2. (Susie, is the new method of link + teaser going to be standard from now on? You’re second to none in your ability to find interesting news I haven’t already seen, but even so, this new system is not working for me. 🙁 )

  4. They are all failures. I cannot believe it is even legal for them to shut our government down. That this is an acceptable option over just paying the bills and commitments that previous Congresses made is totally illogical.

If there was a way for us to start the Constitutional Amendment process (where there isn’t except for a whole new Convention) then I’d propose that if the Government enters into even a partial shutdown then the President, VP, Congress and Senate are all immediately fired and banned from federal service for life. With new elections taking place within 30 days.

They’ll stop playing games with our lives.
