Crackdown on dark money

I gotta say, I’m seeing a lot more things to like out of Obama’s second term:

The Obama administration Tuesday pledged to crack down on campaigning by tax exempt groups, which spent millions in the 2012 election, by narrowing the definition of who can claim the special status. Over the past several years, a number of groups have…

  1. Keep the faith baby, he’s got nothing to lose. Except for the Democratic Party which needs to be reformed anyway. Obama should team up with the Pope and dismantle the whole rotten system that has been built over the past 2000 years. Maybe then we can all get some Peace.

  2. “…The IRS sparked a scandal last year, when the agency admitted to targeting dozens of groups linked to the ultra-conservative Tea Party for extra questioning over their applications for tax exempt status…”

Yeah, and that was the biggest fake scandal in history. A story comes along where all the dirty money was being spent by the conservative side. Sadly, for the main stream whore media, that blocked any real chance of using their favorite line “they all do it”. That made them and their 1% big money owners mad, and so they referred to the situation as some sort of IRS scandal.

That was bull feathers. The fact that the blame seems to be on one side, and most of the investigation drifts toward that side isn’t the element that makes the story a “scandal”.

Sometimes, when a bunch of rich prick money wants to buy elections, then it really ought to get called “right wing social welfare queen money”, which is what it is.

  3. Forgive me, but I’ll wait to see some actual positive result. Justice has been so soundly fucked over the past several decades, I’ve come to expect only the worst.

  4. This is inept to incompetent. Nibbling around the edges with rule making is playing to exactly the opaque and drawn out process that money ALWAYS subverts. Order the IRS to withdraw its rule that “exclusively” means 51%. Then enforce the statute as it was written and watch the cockroaches scurry to their next dark cover.
