‘Staggering need’

My sister and I decided last night to skip Christmas presents this year and give to charity instead. I’d be much happier knowing someone got fed instead:

  1. Hats off to you both. We should all ‘pray’ for peace too. By asking the neo-cons why they want us to keep 12,000 troops in Afghanistan “until 2024 and beyond?” The neo-cons tell us that it’s not in our national security interest to pull all of our troops out in 2014. They claim that if we do al Qaeda will attack us agian. But unless and until the warmongers and the war profiteers can give us a better reason then that we should assume that they are just feeding us fear propaganda meant to benifit their own $elf-intere$t$.

  2. Food Stamps are agriculture subsidies, not welfare. But instead of direct payments to agribusiness to keep supply down, they are payments to consumers to keep demand up. This is why it is in the farm bill, not a welfare bill. It is only a side effect that it helps feed the children.

    In my state there already are work requirements for “ABAWOC’s” (Able bodied adults without children).
