Are you ready for some Super Snowmageddon football?
As the tristate area endures its most recent blast of heavy snow and frigid temperatures, Accuweather.com reports that a storm system will hit the Northeast on Super Bowl XLVIII weekend (Feb. 1-2).
“The timeline is for Friday to Sunday,” said Evan Myers, Accuweather.com meteorologist and chief operations officer. “Whether or not it happens during the game or before the game, and whether or not it will come as rain or snow, is still questionable.”
As the New York-New Jersey region has already seen, snow is not that unusual this time of year, according to Accuweather.com Expert Senior Meteorologist Bernie Rayno.

It’s not forecast to even get back to freezing by Super Bowl Sunday, which also means that the Super Bowl Fan Fest they’ve got scheduled up 14 blocks of Broadway the entire week before the game will also take place under those conditions.
I imagine the players are praying for snow. Playing football in freezing rain is complete misery.
Can they really forecast 10 days out? Here in the PNW they try to, but they’re lucky if they can predict the afternoon weather during the morning news. I hope it’s really nasty weather. All those rich idiots with nothing better to do than pay a fortune to watch a sport with thousands of bizarre rules that makes calvinball seem uncomplicated… and the rich assholes playing the sport who blackmail cities into building expensive stadiums (jaahb creators) please, gods, let them all suffer. The only thing better would be if the halftime show included a roman style Lions vs Christian event featuring Christie and Guadagno (they’re Italian, right? It’s part of their heritage, just like extortion and fascism).
