So we’re back to 2008! Just remember that 1) the economy then was pretty shitty, even before the crash and 2) most of the good jobs have since been replaced with shitty, poorly paid ones.
Other than that, groovy! Yay, capitalism!

“The jobs report contained at least one ominous note. The nation’s workforce shrank by more than 800,000 workers in April, sending the labor force participation rate plummeting 0.4 percentage points to 62.8 percent. The Labor Department said most of that decline was due to fewer people joining the workforce.”
My slogan: “If there are no jobs, there’s no recovery.”
“Workers are ‘free citizens’. They are free to sell their labor to the highest bidder.” These days the bidders are offering lousy wages. Always keep in mind that the unemployment rate was always at 0% on every southern plantation.
