Andrew Sullivan Alex Pareene gets it mostly right. The thing is, readers haven’t supported most bloggers the way they did Andrew Sullivan, and at least a little bit of click bait becomes necessary to keep the lights on.

Is analysis news? Whether it’s incisive or not. Isn’t news something apart from analysis? Don’t we all get into trouble by conflating the two? 20-somethings aren’t equipped to analyze anything because their brains aren’t yet fully developed. Because the FOX War Network only hires people with undeveloped brains their content is neither news nor analysis. Mostly it’s just a series of bimbo irruptions strung together in unintelligible blather.
