No argument here

Gee, I wonder why we didn’t hear this on the teevee:

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani blamed the rise of violent extremism on “certain states” and on unidentified “intelligence agencies” and said it was up to the region to find a solution to the problem.
“Certain intelligence agencies have put blades in the hand of madmen, who now spare no one,” Rouhani told the United Nations General Assembly on Thursday.

  1. It’s true. No question about that. But Iranian ayatollahs have about as much moral authority here as “certain states.” Unless. like certain states, they’re apologizing for their part in the mess, which no states (except the Germans re the attempted genocide) ever do.

  2. Certain states, certain groups within states. All with the goal of keeping hate, death and war going in a resource rich part of the world. Prices kept high, costs born by said ‘states,’ or rather the gullible citizens of those states. Follow the money . . .

  3. The actions of Iran over the past 35 years have been saint like when compared to those of the United States and Israel. “Man was made in the image and likeness of God.” Somehow over time the United States has removed the word “God” from that sentence and inserted the word “America.” Repeating over and over again that the US is the “recognized leader of the world” doesn’t make it so. Israel’s claim that it has a right to all of the land that it has stolen since 1947 because of a “covenant from God” is just flat crazy. The United States and Israel invites every bit of violence visited upon them. “When will they learn? When will they ever learn?”
