According to the Washington Post’s Robert Costa, these are Republican “moderates”:
DES MOINES — Less than a year before Iowa’s first-in-the-nation caucuses, it appears that every Republican contender is making a serious play to win the state, setting up what is likely to be one of the most active, competitive campaigns here in recent memory.
Political observers in Iowa say that the field is wide open and that numerous candidates have a legitimate shot to win or do well enough to come out with momentum. That is partly because moderates in the Iowa Republican Party, led by Gov. Terry Branstad, have reasserted themselves into the caucus process after watching social conservatives dominate in 2008 and 2012.
The GOP hopefuls, who at the moment number around two dozen, are already battling one another for supporters and potential staff members amid regular visits to the state.
Chris Christie is a “moderate.” (Even though he’s pitching Joni Ernst voters.) Rand Paul is a “moderate.”
Uh uh.

Do Progressives honestly give a damn about who is and who is not a Republican moderate? No Progressive is going to vote for any Republican anyway.
What Progressives should be discussing is what a moderate Democrat is. Is Bernie Sanders a moderate? How about Clinton? Perhaps Biden or Webb is a Democratic moderate? How do we define a Democratic moderate? Should Progressives support Democratic moderates? Are we in the trouble that we are in as a country because there are too many moderate Democrats being elected to congress?
Maybe it’s time to sort out who’s who in the Democratic Party and allow the Republicans to fight it out amongst themselves?
