I’m mortally offended that it wasn’t renamed Mt. St. Ronnie.
Once again the Obama takes something away from the white dogs.
Pity.
There’s a national park surrounding Denali that’s roughly the size of Massachusetts. A 90-mile, mostly one-lane, gravel road will take you in to the Back Country lodge deep in the park where you can make day-trips out on the taiga or the tundra. At orientation they explain the difference between one and two blasts of the air-horn: one blast means a fire – go to the river and stay until the all clear; two blasts means a bear in camp – go to your cabin and wait for further instructions. Try not to mix these up.
Hopefully, it’s a precedent for renaming the landscape across the country.
Well now, I’m really pissed that he didn’t re-name New Orleans—10th anniversary of Katrina and all—“Chocolate City, LA.”
