I tried not to cry last night, but seeing this covered with “I voted” stickers put me over the edge. When I think of all the women who fought and even died for our right to vote, and now we’re thisclose to a woman president?

I cry a lot – regular blubber-puss here. Your post made me cry even though I’ve seen this image today already. I can identify more now with what the AA community must have felt when Obama was elected.

IM – explain why electing a non-practising member (who is probably atheist) of a highly patriarchal religion would be more wonderful than a representative of half the world’s population (which happens to be an oppressed and marginalized group simply based on their physical anatomy)?
