  1. Running for and being the president ‘is’ nothing but a giant reality show. It’s what happens after you’ve been the president that counts.
    According to our Constitution the majority of power in this country rests with the people’s representatives in the House and the Senate. Article I.
    The president can’t spend money without the consent of Congress.
    Any treaty the president makes must be approved by Congress.
    The president can’t declare war. Only the Congress can.
    Major appointments the president makes must be approved by Congress.
    The limits on presidential power are spelled out in the Constitution.
    The framers of the Constitution purposely limited the president to figurehead and ceremonial status.
    They wanted no more kings and dictators running the show.

  2. While no politician can be accused of being shy or self-sacrificing, Trump’s campaign has been an extended PR effort to inflate his enormous ego. Trump gives not one shit about anything but Donald Trump.

  3. Manafort is one sharp (and sleazy) cookie, and the fact that Trump hired him not long ago suggests that The Donald is more politically astute than many of us give him credit for being.
