This piece about Justice Alito reminds me of that time I told Harry Reid on a conference call, “Why would you go after Roberts and Alito on abortion when neither of them have ever seen a brief from a corporation they didn’t rule in favor of? Why go after them on the single most divisive issue?”
Every time I see anything about Alito, I get angry. This was a nomination I believe could have been effectively blocked, if the Dems had only had their wits about them.
Susie it scares me how similar you and I feel about certain things – Alito really pushes my buttons, much more so than Thomas. Alito strikes me as someone suffering from arrested development in some form. He shows no restraint when he’s on camera listening to Obama’s SOTUs for instance. He’s literally pouting in the picture at the link. Haven’t read the whole article yet, but thank you.
Yep. Senate Dems, as usual peddling “bi-partisanship and moderation” got snookered. Again. Thank the 7 Dems on the “Gang of 14.” Strangely, not a single one of the 7 remains in the Senate. But Alito is a legacy that keeps on giving.
