Storm surge

Serenity

I’m very worried about my good friend Wendy, who moved earlier this year to West Palm Beach. She lives one half-block past the evacuation zone — she says you’re not allowed out on the road unless you’re in the official zone. I’m worried because she’s in a one-story ranch house.

We were already having trouble when I talked to her on the phone earlier today; the signal kept dropping. She promised to let me know she’s okay when it’s all over.

  1. The big problem in New Orleans-this was Katrina- when they urged people to evacuate was that thousands had no cars to jump into, no buses to catch, no place to to go when they got there.

So now your friend has a car to get into…and she’s worried about getting a ticket if she gets on the road?

    Huh?

  2. Happily it looks like West Palm escaped – now it’s Georgia’s turn. Hopefully we will get a little rain from this up here in ATL, but I hope the surge isn’t catastrophic on the coast.
