Trump couldn’t pass an eighth grade Civics Test? I would bet my bank account on that proposition. But the electorate couldn’t either. The process of running for President is shot through with promises that are Constitutionally ignorant. “I will put Social Security in a lock box.” Remember that one? It also gets an “F”.
They still have civics classes? Those are long gone – target A of the conservative movement’s plan to dumb down and impoverish the electorate.
Anyway Trump is popular with his base precisely because he’s not a politician. They want a goon to go in there and strong-arm the rest of them into submission. A la Putin.
