An act of inspiring journalism

I’m not always fond of Maddow; she carries that comity thing too far for my taste. But that pleasant demeanor is exactly why she’s so devastatingly effective in a face-off like this one with Kellyanne Conway and I hope more journalists follow her lead:

  1. I share your opinion of Ms. Maddow, but She’s always prepared and knows her stuff. She’s just too patient for my tastes, talking to a representative of Putin’s Man in the White House would turn my stomach.

  2. Conway is just soooo creepy. She just sits there and lies straight at the camera over and over. She said Melania Trump was right to sue someone for $150 million for lying about her, then uses the Obamas’ treatment as an example of this not happening to other first ladies. Michelle Obama has endured more vicious slander than any first lady including Nancy Reagan. Does the word “Moochelle” ring any moral bells for you, Kellyanne? How about the photoshops of Michelle Obama as an ape that have been widely circulated for years? But no, in Trumpworld those things never happened, or if they did, they were just harmless pranks (as long as they happen to someone else).

  3. The boss is a birther. Even if Trump could ultimately rewrite libel law, he would have to wait until the statute of limitations ran on his own pronouncements because the sauce for the goose would scald his gander.
