The Times has a truly depressing story about the whirlwind of chaos in the West Wing, but this paragraph was especially bizarre:
In private, three administration officials conceded that they could not publicly articulate their most compelling — and honest — defense of the president: that Mr. Trump, a hasty and indifferent reader of printed briefing materials, simply did not possess the interest or knowledge of the granular details of intelligence gathering to leak specific sources and methods of intelligence gathering that would do harm to United States allies.
So he’s either too stupid and careless to be president, OR he’s a gullible dupe. Gee.
“I’ve seen how the system is broken and populated by individuals who think they know everything. But you aren’t going to let other people tell you what you believe, especially when you know that you’re right,” said Trump at Liberty University last month.
Trump is a frightened, fat man who knows little about anything even though he believes that he knows everything about everything and is always right.
Or maybe he’s the perfect match for the American electorate.
