It might be that Todd is a Republican and he was just trying to pull Giuliani out of a tough rhetorical spot?
The real danger to our democratic-republic is not Trump or Giuliani or the rest of the fascists in the WH, but Evangelical Christians.
Specifically, but not exclusively, White, Southern, Evangelical Christians.
Republican’s pander to them for votes and they make up Trump’s base.
The two things that galvanize these bigots are their hatred for gays and Blacks.
These poor, lost souls have been fed lies and magical thinking from the pulpit of their megachurches for decades.
