Don’t worry, I’m not living out of my car.
But I’m getting my car inspected the same week 1) my pay was just slashed by 30% and 2) after months of waiting, the IRS notified me a few days ago they will rule on whether they’ll accept my compromise offer by the end of the month. Which means I can’t dip into the money I’ve been saving to pay them to get my car fixed.
So I’m in a teensy bit of a cash crunch. (Four migraines in the past 24 hours.) Last year, my Subie passed inspection with flying colors. This year, I need work on my exhaust system AND my gas vapor control sensor. (The nozzle shuts off every ten seconds or so when I get gas. Some local gas stations actually refuse to wait on me because it’s so aggravating! I buy gas in NJ because it’s cheaper, and they don’t have self-service. )
Anyway, my car guru estimates it will be about $300. Anything at all you can spare is appreciated! Thanks.
