A timely reminder that the Speaker of the House controls the chamber where joint sessions are held, and congress is a co-equal branch of government. https://t.co/PqmtIEQuol

Pelosi to Trump: We can take your SOTU in writing if you won’t reopen the government. https://t.co/JYooRhNILF

As she walked from the cameras, Pelosi just off-handedly gave Trump *permission* to give SOTU from the Oval Office. Which makes that obvious alternative also a demeaning exit for the president … https://t.co/va4MyoH6C9

This Pelosi move feels like classic Pelosi. Makes a public, formal request to the president to postpone SOTU. Tees it up politely. But really, she's not asking. She controls if or when SOTU happens. This is gonna drive Trump crazy. https://t.co/kL4vUciATQ

Stephen Miller is at the root of all evil.
Why would anyone in their right mind give Trump a credible public platform, in this case a joint session of congress, to dump all over them, their colleagues, their family and friends?
That would be the height of stupidity and actually goes to show just how stupid Trump thinks all of us really are.
Republicans are the “enemy of the people.”
Then she goes on camera to fumble the ball blaming a security issue at Homeland Security, not foreseeing that a Trump appointee will immediately give the lie to that transparent excuse. Why couldn’t she just have the spine to shut the damn circus down because it would be an unseemly display while Trump was holding the country and the paychecks of 800,000 employees hostage?
