“Helter skelter, feare no colours, course him, trounce him.” Thomas Nashe, 1592, “Four letters confuted”
Or
A British fairgrounds slide, circa 1900.
Charlie took far too many drugs,
I was at the free show at Justin Herman Plaza when they played Helter Skelter and it reminded me of a band I was in that covered that song at the end of our first set at an outdoor party in Freshwater, California. As I was putting my guitar on it’s stand, I felt something pulling on my shirt. I looked and it was this girl with straight blond hair and vacant blue eyes and she said “Could you play that song again? It’s my favorite song…” and I was straight gone from there with chills going up and down my spine.
Ryhming reduplications.
