Apparently the Evangelical Christians who voted for Trump don’t go to church.
Or so “they” say.
It appears that Evangelical Christian leaders, who have come under attack lately for their movements racist views and solid support of Trump, have decided to distance themselves from the right wing extremists in their ranks.
It’s not because the leadership doesn’t agree with the views of the extremists, they do and will vote for Trump again in 2020, it’s because “those people” are now hurting the well crafted and phony image of the Evangelical Christian movement and can be jettisoned at little real cost.
America has two serious problems to solve; Trump and Evangelical Christians.
One should be imprisoned and the other requires a Reformation.
Remember back in 2009 when a report initiated by the Bush administration warned against the rise of right wing extremist violence and specifically mentioned active duty military and veterans as recruitment targets?
And remember how Fox news and Drudge lost their damn minds and screamed bloody murder about how the Obama administration was trying to suppress conservative speech by branding them terrorists until the report was modified and the FBI was denied resources to try and counteract the things the report warned about?
We got lucky this time, no help from those conservative assholes.
