Elizabeth Warren’s town hall last night

I caught the last hour last night and was very impressed. She appeared to have stalled out lately, but she seems to have overcome whatever that was. She also seems to be the only candidate who has put so much thought into how to use the office, which I like.

  1. Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang is developing a pretty good rap out on the stump.

Some candidates have too much energy and some have too little.

  2. If you listen to the Right, Elizabeth Warren is “too wonky” or “too shrill” or “too liberal” — but I don’t hear any of that when I listen to her. She’s done her homework, she knows what direction we ought to be going, and you might disagree with her positions but they’re well thought out and ripe for discussion.

The reasons given so far for why we should dismiss her seem suspect to me.

  3. Krugman says that she is what a serious policy intellectual looks like in 2019, and I agree with him.
