Barr is giving Trump all the time he needs to either spin a favorable tale or hang himself, whichever comes first.
When the Mueller Report drops it will do to Trump what Monty Python did to the Black Knight guarding the bridge.
29% of the public believes that Trump was exonerated by Mueller. (Trump’s electability quotient stands at 31%.)
40% does not think he was exonerated and the other 31% are waiting until the report is released, out of fairness, before kicking the crap out of Trump.
Every damned inculpatory fact will be shoe horned under one of Barr’s non-disclosure pretexts. He won’t even bother to release a copy indicating the redactions because it would be a farcical sea of black. They will edit the report ala Nixon’s tape transcript and stretch the font and spacing as close to 400 pages as they can.
