FBI warns #ConspiracyTheory-driven violence is a new domestic #terrorism threat.

Some — though not all — of these conspiracy theories are created and/or promoted by Russia.#InformationWarfare #StochasticTerrorism #QAnonhttps://t.co/3AnXvLffgk pic.twitter.com/nX7SCYlsWw

What if the anti-Russia faction in the Democratic Party is successful in selling their theory that Russian meddling in our elections is a dangerous thing?
Might Trump inform us that even though Elizabeth Warren won the election it was illegitimate because it was interfered with “by a fat guy sitting on his bed in his mother’s basement” and he would therefore be staying on as president until……”We’ll see.”
If the Democratic hawks and warmongers aren’t careful we may all be hoisted up on their petard.
My understanding is that QAnon is a giant hoax that was inspired by a lefty anarchist novel from Europe, wherein a group of lefty anarchists start a series of increasingly bizarre conspiracy theory rumors for a lark. Sorry can’t recall the title but the similarities are too close to ignore. I would not be at all surprised if the people at the top of the QAnon structure is a group of hacker/hoaxers trying to round up as many gullible people as possible to lead them pied-piper style into an elaborate and humiliating emperor-has-no-clothes epiphany.
Russia’s preferred candidate is DJT, but other countries–notably China and Iran–would meddle in the other direction. If it weren’t so risky, I wouldn’t be surprised if other NATO countries tried to shift the scale against DJT or for the eventual D candidate.
