I don’t know why they call it “common sense” when so few people have it:

Gun nuts: we need America to be a police state.

Millions of people: uh, why?

Gun nuts: to protect us from the right to bear arms.

Millions of people: why not just restrict that?

Gun nuts: so that we can defend ourselves from a police state.

On C-Span an Alabama “gun nut” said that his hunting rifle was more powerful and deadly than any military-style assault rifle on the market.
When asked by the host why he needed such a deadly weapon he responded that every American should own a weapon more powerful then what the police carry.
The host asked if he was afraid of the police and he replied that he wasn’t.
But, he said, if they ever tried to take his guns away he have ample firepower to take them on.
Clearly a FOX fake news watcher and a Trump supporter.
