A good way to put it

With the old Republican party, they could only smash and grab a little bit at a time. With Trump, everything’s on the buffet table!

  1. “….gave a huge windfall to the rich” and a giant military budget for the warmongers.

General James Mattis is a warmonger by training and by temperament.
Whether Mattis is also paranoid and crazy is yet to be determined.
Although one has to assume that you’d have to be a little nuts to devote your entire life in planning new ways to kill large numbers of people.

We have the largest and most expensive military in the history of the world.
    To what end?
    Defense?
How is deploying US combat troops all around the globe a justifiable position to take?

When General Mattis was instructed to withdraw all US combat troops from Syria he quit his job in protest.

The lawful order to withdraw US troops from Syria came on the heels of another instruction that Mattis was given and disagreed with.
General Mattis was told to close down the war in Afghanistan and bring the 14,000 US troops home and he refused to do it.

Mattis, like John Bolton and Mike Pompeo, is a war fighter and war fighters (warmongers) never withdraw until the war is won.
Warmongers demand total capitulation (from Iran, China, Venezuela, etc.).
Even if that demand causes their own and everybody else’s destruction in the process.
