as far as the analysts can determine it has cost US taxpayers $5.6 TRILLION to fight the war in Afghanistan and in the broader Middle East.
That’s an average of $325 billion every year for 17 years.
But Trump is ending that war (against the advice of Gen. Mattis and the military) and will soon be bringing home 5,400 of the 14,000 US combat troops in country.
That is not what these fascist Republican warmongers signed up.
But why aren’t the Democrats publicly supporting the end of America’s longest war?
Because Trumps ending it instead of Obama?
By remaining silent the Democrats are seen to be supporting the war-hawks and the military industrial complex.
Is there something other then fighting an illegal and useless war in Afghanistan for 17 years that American’s could have spent that $5.6 trillion tax dollars on?
Maybe Medicare-for-all?
